Shaking thoughts of her mother aside, she lifted her arms out of the way as her Daddy pushed her up to the table.

The room smelled fantastic. “What are we having, Daddy? And how did you get it ready?”

He winked at her as he headed for the counter. “We’re having a roast. Daddy put it in the crockpot this morning on low so it would be ready tonight.”

“That’s so smart, Daddy.” She smiled as she watched him fill their plates before bringing them to the table and returning with a sippy cup of juice for her and a glass of water for himself.

When she reached for the chubby plastic spork he’d given her, he set his hand over hers. “Give it a minute to cool off. Remember the mac and cheese?”

She nodded. “Yes. You were right. It was too hot to eat. I was lucky you stopped me from burning my mouth.”

He smiled. “Daddies know these things. I’ll always try to make sure you don’t get injured, Little one.”

She looked up at him, a sudden thought filling her with concern. “Except when I’m at work, right? You wouldn’t interfere with my job or ask me to be Little while I’m working, would you?”

“Never, Sunshine. You have my word. Your job is your domain. Any time you want Daddy to provide advice or help you lift heavy things or step in when you’re shorthanded, I will be there for you, but I would never suggest you can’t run a business, nor do I believe remodeling is a man’s job.” He set his hand over hers and gave a reassuring squeeze.

“Okay, Daddy.” His words calmed her.

“That’s the beauty of age play, Sunshine.” He grinned. “You get to come home from all that hard work and responsibility and turn your care over to Daddy. You get to be my Little girl when you’re not working. Your Little wears pretty dresses and bows in her hair. She’s far too young to touch hot stoves or sit on big-girl chairs. Sometimes she needs a sippy cup and a plastic plate.”

Her heart felt so much better. He understood.

He leaned in closer, still holding her hand. His voice was lower when he added, “Sometimes your Little will want to spend time even younger and submit even deeper to Daddy with bottles and diapers and pacifiers.”

Her breath hitched. If she was honest with herself, she’d admit she’d seen piles of diapers under the changing table in the nursery. Like the closet full of clothes, she hadn’t let herself dwell on that fact for even a second. She’d focused on the rocking horse and the cowgirl hat, the crib, and Fromage the mouse. Nothing else. She had been too overstimulated to ponder the rest.

“Don’t you worry, Sunshine. You’ll know when you’re ready to spend some time in a younger headspace. Daddy will see the signs too. We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”

“Okay, Daddy,” she whispered. She was filled with uncertainty, but she didn’t need to face any of that tonight. In fact, she sat up taller and made a decision. “I think we should go to Blaze tonight, Daddy. I think it will be fun.”

He gave her another of his proud-Daddy smiles. “I think that’s a great idea.” He pushed to standing. “I better grab a bib. We don’t want to get roast on your dress before we go out tonight.”

Jordi’s eyes were wide as saucers as her Daddy led her to the daycare section of Blaze. She’d clung tight to his arm and hidden her face as they’d walked through the club, not looking around at all the scary things she knew were in the main room. She’d seen enough as they’d stepped inside.

Daddy patted her hand where she gripped his bicep. “See? This section of the club is dedicated to Littles. The only thing in the daycare is fun stuff to play with.”

She glanced at him. “I don’t have to do any of those things in the main room, right?” She shuddered as she tried to block out the chains and handcuffs and benches and crosses and so many other things. Those things were for adults. She certainly wasn’t judging anyone who enjoyed being strapped down and flogged, but she was far too Little to do anything like that.

“No, Sunshine. Blaze caters to many kinks. Your kink is age play. Daddy won’t ask you to visit any other parts of the club. But if you’re ever curious and you just want to be educated, let me know, and I’ll show you around.”

“Okay.” She didn’t think that would ever happen, but at least he’d left her the option.

“Jordi?” The sweet voice calling out Jordi’s name sounded familiar.

Sure enough, when Jordi turned to see who was speaking, she was shocked to find Valerie skipping toward her. Jordi really shouldn’t have been shocked. She’d wondered if Valerie and Grayson had had a Daddy/Little relationship when she’d remodeled their office a few weeks ago.
