“You’ll get that when we get home,” he says against my ear. “You’ll get it all night.”
I open my mouth and come undone. His lips fall onto mine and he kisses me to muffle the sounds of my pleasure. He eats them like I know he’s going to me eat me later because he can never get enough.
He keeps moving his fingers against me and draws out the ecstasy until he’s holding me upright so I don’t fall over. When the last of it rolls over me, my eyes lazily drift open and I let out a small sigh. He’s smiling at me and my heart warms.
“God, you’re beautiful,” he says, and my cheeks heat. God, I love this man. “How did I get so fucking lucky?” He shakes his head and kisses me one last time. “Let me get you together.”
I sigh again as I stand up on my own and he rights my skirt. He gives each of my breasts a kiss before buttoning my shirt back together.
“No leaving the house without underwear.” He gives me a warning look and desire begins to stir again.
I shrug. “I couldn’t find them. You’re the one who rushed us to move into the new house. I can’t find anything anymore.”
It’s true, but I don’t care. The last two months have been a whirlwind, and if anyone knew how quickly life could change it should be me. Still, it’s hard to wrap my mind around the life I have versus the one I had before Jensen. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I can breathe again. I might have a possessive, controlling husband, but only because I chose to. We fit together and I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’m a married woman and just found out I’m pregnant. It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of and a life I’ve always wanted. I can’t wait to tell him tonight when we’re in bed and can celebrate. If being a husband is any indication, he’s going to be the best father in the world.
“Shall we?” he asks, holding out his hand for me.
I place mine in his and he kisses my knuckles before leading me out of the bathroom and back to the restaurant with our family. Nothing but beautiful, happy things are ahead of us and I can’t wait to begin our family.
Epilogue
JENSEN
Five years later…
I feel my scowl deepen when Sage walks into the room and stops. Her hand immediately comes up to her mouth to cover her smile and I see her cheeks redden with delight behind her fingers.
“Daddy, your tea is getting cold,” Amelia sing-songs as she straightens her tiara.
I reach down and delicately grip the tiny teacup with my big fingers and slowly bring it to my mouth. I clench my jaw as Rose places another cookie on my plate.
Sage’s shoulders shake with silent laughter and I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’m wearing a tiara, too, or that I’m squatted down in this tiny chair next to a tiny table, which makes me look completely massive. But I’d do anything for my twin girls and that includes a tea party complete with tiaras. I might make faces the whole time, but only because it makes them giggle.
“I wanted a chocolate one,” I say, craning my neck to look down into the box she’s getting them from.
“Chocolate is for princesses with manners,” Amelia says, pointing to my pinky. “We’re trying to teach you, Daddy.”
I stick my pinky out and grumble as I eat the vanilla. I sip slowly then use the napkin just how they showed me when I’m finished.
“Great job!” Rose says excitedly and finally gives up the chocolate one.
Sage leans against the doorway as we play for bit longer. My legs are starting to fall asleep, but I know we don’t have much time.
“All right, princesses, it’s time for Daddy to go.”
Both the girls groan in protest, which pulls at my heart, but a second later Sophia and Gary come busting into the room and they forget about us. Grandma and Grandpa are rock stars to our kids, and my knees are thankful for the interruption.
“Pinkies up,” I say to Gary as I pat him on the back.
The two of them scoop up the girls and play with them as Sage and I sneak out. We’ve got tickets for a show tonight and need to get moving.
“You enjoyed that entirely too much,” I say as I grab my coat by the front door.
“It was sweet,” she says and puts her hands on my chest. “I’m just really thankful we had that security system installed that records everything in the play room.”
She’s smug as she leans up and kisses me on the chin before she spins around to walk out. It takes me a second to catch up with what she’s saying and realize what she could do with that video.
