He was almost done with cleaning when someone knocked on the door. Gray wiped his hands. “Come in.”
A few days back, he’d taken Shadow out to get more clothes, but he didn’t remember getting him the red T-shirt he was wearing.
Nor a matching baseball cap for that matter.
Shadow looked strangely casual in the outfit and without his usual blackout jacket.
But even more curiously, Shadow was holding a large pizza box. Instead of keeping it horizontally, he had it hiding his hip, as if it were cardboard apron.
“You ordered pizza? I’ve got the large meat feast.”
Gray approached him. “What? It must be for someone else. Where did you get those clothes?”
Shadow smiled, looking kind of cute with all that hair cascading from under the cap. “Oh, no. It’s for you, I’m sure.” He pulled the lid open, and for a split second Gray wanted to stop him, so that the pizza wouldn’t fall to the floor, but the box was empty.
Well, not exactly.
Shadow’s erect cock bobbed from a hole in the middle, creating the most surreal image Gray had ever seen.
Gray stilled, feeling his mouth dampen as the thick dick stilled, pointing at him in invitation. “What.”
Shadow smiled. “Would you like to sit on the pizza? Or maybe eat it again?”
This was not happening. “No.”
“Everyone loves sausage. Unless of course you’re vegetarian, then I could offer a cob of corn.”
Where was this even coming from? It didn’t sound like something Shadow would come up with on his own.
Gray found it hard to put the things he wanted to say into words. “W-who told you this was a good idea?” he asked, completely shocked. Fear and anger settled at the back of his mind, warning him that there might be some prankster hiding just beyond the door and listening on to the conversation, as if Gray’s sexuality were one big joke.
Shadow stared at him for a while, and the confidence he’d shown upon entry melted away like an ice cream bar under a hot stream of water. “I’m a pizza delivery man. It’s very sexy.”
“Is it, though?” Gray turned away from him when he sensed his dick stiffening a bit despite the outrageous nature of the situation. He couldn’t help it, and he absolutely hated it. “If there is one topping I don’t want on pizza, it’s dick. Tuck it back in.”
Gray only looked over his shoulder once he heard Shadow dropping the box and fumbling with his jeans.
“I don’t understand. A pizza delivery is irresistible to humans,” Shadow said in a voice so small Gray instantly felt guilty over being so harsh.
“Who said that? Who put you up to this?” he demanded.
Shadow took off the cap and leaned against the wall, his gaze low. “It was my idea… I just watched a lot of movies. Joker brought me some.”
Dear God.
“What k-kind of movies?” Gray asked, even though he already knew the answer. His head was buzzing with pure rage. The last thing he needed was Shadow watching porn and getting even hornier!
Shadow kneaded the cap in his hands but eventually stepped closer, bringing with him the intoxicating scent that always radiated off him. “Movies where people connect their bodies. Joker showed me a variety. There are so many options, and I wanted to know which one you would like most,” he said, with an expression so pure it was impossible to accuse him of ulterior motives.
He shook his head. “It’s not your fault. Joker only did this because he wants to make fun of me! That’s why he showed you those movies. I bet he’s sitting somewhere making jokes about me eating pizza with a lot of white sauce.”
Dark red blots appeared on Shadow’s face when he spoke. “I don’t understand! I’ve seen in detail what happens. Why is it working for everyone but me? People like this kind of thing, I’ve seen it on video.”
Gray kicked the empty pizza box and started pacing around the bedroom with heat buzzing in his chest. How dare Joker put those kinds of ideas into a mind as innocent as Shadow’s? “Because those movies don’t show reality. They are garbage for perverts like him! There’s no emotion in them, and no respect for the other person!”
Shadow pulled on Gray’s sleeve when Gray passed him once more. “Where can I see reality then? What kind of movies do you watch?” he asked softly.
Gray stilled, staring at Shadow’s large hand holding onto his sleeve with the gentleness of a child. The ghost of warmth spread from it to Gray’s skin and trailed all the way to Gray’s neck, causing a sensation reminiscent of a soft kiss. “It’s… those movies you watched don’t show the connection people should feel. Sometimes, coming can be pleasant, but it’s an empty sensation if you don’t love the person you’re with. Doing it just because it feels physically nice is… it’s a cheap imitation of how things should happen.”
