I catch a tear that has escaped and then look at my face. The wide set of my honey eyes and the way my dark hair against my skin highlights the beautiful olive color. I take in the sharp lines of my face and the Cupid’s bow at the top of my lips. I am a very beautiful girl—or, at least, I think so.

The whole point of my moving to Nashville and working with the Assassins is not only to learn how to build a winning team, but also to figure out who I am. To experience things I’ve never done. To live freely without the constant and forever punishment of New Beginnings.

My sisters have already started living a better life. Why haven’t I? And why haven’t I confided in them about Dimitri?

Because I’m scared.

Probably more scared of him than I am of the Grandmaster coming back for me.

I swallow past the lump in my throat and put on the dress. It hugs my chest, but my breasts are covered and I still look voluptuous. I angle my hip, and Louisa is right, the slit does look nice on my leg. I pull my hair down, bringing it over my shoulders. And wow, I don’t hate how I look. If I’m honest, I might like how I look.

I gulp hard before turning around to go out to show my sisters. I hear them before I even make it out there, and when I see them both in their dresses, I beam at them. They’re so gorgeous. Eliza went with a dark-green number that hugs her body and shows off every curve she owns. Louisa is a stunner in her red dress that makes her boobs look ginormous. I’m not expecting the reaction I get when they set their sights on me. Both of them are wide-eyed and grinning, complimentary about how I look.

“I think I like it?” I mutter, and Eliza gawks.

“You think? Girl! You’re a baddie!”

“Total baddie with a fattie! The way that fabric cradles your ass will totally get you a hot hockey player,” Louisa teases. “Maybe even the one you already have your eye on.”

I roll my eyes, but my ass does look nice, and I’m totally ignoring the comment about catching Dimitri’s eye. Knowing him, he’ll make a comment. Ugh. I should just wear sweatpants. “Stop.”

“We’re going to keep it up until you tell us,” Eliza warns, and I know they will. I look at them in the mirror.

“I’ve told you about all the guys I’ve been with,” Louisa reminds me.

“And I’ve told you about all my Tinder dates,” Eliza adds, leaning in, and I exhale in annoyance.

“That I’d rather not hear about,” I retort, but she grins. “I don’t know how you just meet up with guys like that.”

“It’s easy ’cause I want to bang. That’s it,” she says simply. “I have that hollow feeling of need and want. That ache to come and come hard against a man’s dick or mouth.” Her vulgarity still surprises me. She never spoke like this when we were younger, but it’s the truth of her words that has me reeling. Because I feel that hollowness, and I want to feel a release. “I am awakening the goddess within me in the bedroom or the bathroom or whatever flat service we get on, and I’m so good with it.”

I shake my head, fighting a grin as I brush my hands down the fabric. “So, you kiss them?” I ask, and why am I an idiot? Why did I ask that?

Eliza scrunches her face together. “Yes. Lips, dick, butts. I kiss and suck it all.”

I gawk at her. “Really?”

“God, yes,” she laughs.

“Kissing is my favorite,” Louisa says with a little tip of her lips. “I think since it wasn’t allowed, I crave it now.”

“Maybe that’s why I like it.” Eliza thinks for a second. “Or maybe I’m having sex for me and doing what I want. Kissing gets me going.”

Louisa points to her. “That. All that. I love telling a man how to take me.”

“Yes,” Eliza groans. “I told this guy the other night, just shut up and fuck me.”

My eyes widen as shock shakes my body. “Goodness, Eliza. Just like that?”

“Just like that. And sissy, he fucked me like a dream.”

“Did he?” I squawk, and she laughs.

“Oh yes. You’ll learn very quickly, men like when you tell them what to do.”

“Heck yeah, they do,” Louisa adds. “I rode this guy the other day, and he was screaming my name, Lou-e-saaaaaaaa!” She demonstrates as she shakes violently, and I can’t help but laugh. Eliza is holding the door, the laughter racking her body.

“You two are so bad,” I say, shaking my head. “I couldn’t imagine being so bold.”

Eliza cuts a look at me. “Austen, you’re the boldest of us all. I’m sure you’d be whipping dudes and putting dog collars on them. You little vixen.”
