“That tickles,” I laugh as Orlando nips at my neck. It’s been five days and I still haven't remembered anything new. Not sure that I really want to. This place is safe. All I know is this man, and I can’t find the will to care about anything else. Well, I take that back. I care that he’s still been holding back with me.
“You’re the one who said you liked my scruff.” He gives my neck another nip.
“You’re the one who’s supposed to be working,” I sass back, looking over my shoulder at him.
“Hard to do with you in my lap.” I turn in his lap, resting my hands on his chest and narrowing my eyes at him in fake sternness.
“You put me here,” I remind him, not that I minded. When I walked into his office he pulled me right down into his lap.
“Can you blame me?” He leans down to kiss me. I wiggle in his lap and try to deepen the kiss, take it further. He pulls back and both of us are breathing hard. “I think we need to order you some new clothes.”
“What? You don’t like me wearing your clothes?” His hands slide up my thighs under the shirt. I shift, wanting them to go higher and they do.
“I want you comfortable. I already ordered you a few things I thought you might like the other day. They came this morning.”
“Hmm.” I rub my hands up his chest. “Did you get those packages while you were missing from our bed this morning?” I woke this morning to an empty bed. I try to make my tone playful when really it scared me. I’d woken from a bad dream. I’ve noticed fear starts to trickle in when I’m not near him. He’s my safe place.
“I meant to get back to you right after my workout.”
“You work out? I’m shocked.” I rub my hands all over him, teasing him. “Is there a gym in this maze of a house?” I’ve been here almost a week and I know I haven't seen all of it. I stick mainly to Orlando’s side.
“In the basement. I try to work out first thing every morning, but you’ve proven to be rather distracting.”
“Not this morning, though.” I try to hide my hurt.
“Had to work off some pent-up energy.” His jaw tightens.
“The storm’s stopped. If you want to get out, we could…” I trail off when I realize what he means. “Oh.” I suddenly feel shy, even though I want him to work off his energy right now with me.
“Yeah.” His hands tighten on my thighs, sliding up a little more. “I would have made it back before you woke, but…” He lets go of me for a moment, reaching into the side drawer of his desk and pulling out a small box. “Your ring came.”
It’s then I notice he has on a ring now. “Was yours getting sized, too?” I ask. He doesn't answer me, he just opens the box.
“Oh my god,” I gasp when I see the beautiful ring. In the center is what has to be a red ruby. It’s square and is flanked by blue stones wrapped by diamonds.
“It’s beautiful.” He pulls the ring out of the box. I hold my hand up and he slides it onto my finger.
“You’re beautiful.”
I look up into his eyes. “I love it,” I tell him. I want to say I love him too, but the words are stuck in my throat. I’m sure I’ve said them to him before, but a nagging feeling that he hasn't said them to me over the past few days stops me from doing so.
I lean forward to kiss him. “No one is going to miss that I’m married.” I hold the ring up. It’s freaking giant on my hand.
“That’s the point.” He caresses the ring with a gentle finger. Something flashes in his eyes.
“Are you okay?” I ask him.
“I’ve got you in my lap, don’t I?” He smiles at me, but it doesn't reach his eyes.
“You know. My side doesn't hurt at all anymore.” I smirk at him, giving a little wiggle for extra measure. I lean forward and lick the seam of his mouth. “If you want to burn off some more energy…” I bait.
I gasp when he takes me by surprise. He lifts me and my butt lands on his desk as he stands, kissing me deep and hard, his hand digging into my hair. I moan into his mouth as his other hand slides up my thigh, gripping my panties. Instantly they are gone.
“Orlando,” I moan as he pulls his mouth from mine. I try to catch my breath as he trails kisses down my neck. Sucking and nipping. This time it doesn't tickle.
“In the way,” he growls, and I don’t think he’s talking to me. He pulls my shirt up over my head, tossing it away and leaving me naked on his desk. I reach for him, pulling his mouth back to mine in a hungry, deep kiss, wanting to taste him again.
