Chad’s face went through a range of emotion before he busted a move, leaping straight into his seat, landing on Ducky’s lap. In the same motion, Chad grabbed Ducky, dousing him in unexpectedly chilly water.
He was so unprepared for the move, he did little more than spit and sputter as Chad rubbed his cheek and water-soaked hair along Ducky’s face. Water splashed everywhere, covering him head to toe.
“You’re wet. Get off me,” Ducky said the obvious and pushed at his irritating boyfriend, but he couldn’t help the chuckle at the unexpected drenching.
Chad wasn’t going anywhere. He wrapped his strong arms around Ducky, holding him pinned against the seat and his body. As the youngest, smallest brother, he’d learned a long time ago how to outmaneuver this particular hold, but he refused to take advantage of that particular extraction skill in this instance. He loved the man holding him so tightly.
“I’m starting to get the idea that you’re a yes man in name only,” Chad said, pulling back enough that maybe six inches separated their faces. He had no idea how long the honeymoon phase of a relationship lasted, but he was deep in the throes of their chemistry. He continued to react to Chad as if he was the hottest, most endearing guy on the planet…which he was, so it worked out great.
When Chad’s gaze focused on his lips, Ducky’s cock plumped, taking his guy’s brows up in surprise. “I’m reprimanding you. You’re not supposed to like it.”
“Mmm. Watching you be a daredevil is my favorite. Did you love the jump?” Ducky moved to place a small kiss on Chad’s lips. One he followed when Ducky tried to move away.
“I love it, but not as much as I love you,” Chad said, slanting his mouth over Ducky’s to deepen the kiss.
“Pay up,” he heard Kruger say at a distance.
“Jeez,” the coach replied, disgruntled. “Reeves is whopped. That argument should have lasted at least five minutes. Do they ever stop kissing?”
Chad lifted only a fraction of an inch, speaking almost against Ducky’s lips. “Ignore them. They’re jealous I got you first. How about a pizza, some beer, and a night in so you can ease my bruised feelings?”
“Deal,” Ducky answered without hesitation.
His boyfriend sealed the commitment with another quick peck before deftly twisting. In one fluid motion, Chad landed in the driver’s side of the vehicle, quickly starting the engine. The wicked gleam in his eye shared the promise of what was to come.
“Hey,” Kruger called out as Chad did a mini burnout of revved engines and a sand cloud behind them. “Don’t leave us here.”
“Use the money you just made to get home.” Who knew if Kruger heard him or not? But the hands planted on his hips and the coach’s loud laughter showed they got the gist.
Chad drove the getaway vehicle with more speed than necessary. As he moved the gearshift around, his pinky finger reached for Ducky’s, hooking around his as he continued to shift, creating more speed.
Ducky grabbed the roll bar, holding on as he looked back at the dust cloud behind them. It seemed the perfect example of their lives, leaving everything that didn’t matter in the rearview mirror. Chad looked over at Ducky, grinning wildly. He returned the smile and sat back in his seat, ready for the ride of his life.
