“Now, let’s talk about you two.”

“How about we go sit and talk?” she suggested, already guiding him toward the living room.

After she helped him sit down on the couch, she went to a chair across from him and plopped down onto it. I strolled over to her, plucked her up, took her seat, and settled her in my lap instead.

She didn’t try to get away, but she did look at me with an odd expression that I couldn’t decipher. After a few seconds, she swung her gaze back to her grandfather.

He leaned back into the cushions and put his feet up on the coffee table, grinning widely. “I knew you two were perfect for each other, but seeing Jeremy protect you like that…” He shook his head and smiled fondly at McKenna. “You deserve someone who knows how special you are. Someone who loves you as much as I do.”

McKenna’s cheeks heated, and she glanced up at me through her lashes.

I bent my neck and kissed one of her pink cheeks, then nuzzled my nose in the crook of her neck.

“Did you mean it?” she queried softly.

I raised my head to meet her beautiful chocolate orbs and quirked a brow. “Mean what?”

“When you said that you love me?”

My brow furrowed. How could she not know? “Of course, I love you, McKenna. Did you really think that I would go through all of this charade, move you into our home, and do my best to knock you up if I didn’t love you?”

McKenna’s mouth formed that cute little O again, and I put my lips to her ear and whispered, “When you do that with your lips, all I can think about is seeing them wrapped around my cock.”

She gasped, and her gaze flew over to Corbin, who was watching us with smug amusement.

“You can’t say stuff like that in front of my grandfather,” she hissed.

“If I promise not to, will you tell me you love me?” I pasted a fake pout on my lips, making her giggle.

“I love you more than anything, Jeremy Bardot.”

“Then I guess your grandfather is right, McKenna soon-to-be Bardot.”

“So when is the wedding?” Corbin piped up.

“Excellent question, Corbin. I was thinking the sooner, the better.”

Corbin’s mouth stretched into a cheeky grin. “I agree. There’s no time like the present.”

I laughed and grasped McKenna’s chin, lifting it so she was forced to look directly into my eyes. “Is tomorrow too soon?”

“T-t-tomorrow?” she sputtered before opening her mouth as if she was going to say something else, then just left it hanging.

“What did I tell you about that mouth, baby? Unless you want me to stuff it full of my dick, I suggest you close it.”

McKenna gasped, “You promised not to say stuff like that in front of my grandfather!”

I cocked my head to the side and studied her intently. “Did I?”

She started to say something, then pressed her lips together as she thought back. “Cheater,” she finally grumbled.

“Whatever gets the girl, baby,” I teased before sealing my mouth over hers.

“Don’t mind me,” Corbin murmured with a chuckle. “I’ll just go and see how burnt the steaks are.”

When we finally came up for air, he was gone, and McKenna slumped against me like a limp noodle.

I rubbed slow circles on her back and waited for her to come out of the fog. When she stirred and sat up, I gently cupped one of her cheeks. “McKenna Sage, will you marry me?”

Her eyes brightened and turned glassy with unshed tears—which would have worried me if not for the giant smile on her gorgeous face. “Yes,” she said softly before brushing her lips over mine in a sweet kiss.

“Tomorrow?”

McKenna’s brow rose. “You were serious about that?”

I nodded. “Of course, I was, baby. I want you to have my last name as soon as possible. Mostly because I love you and can’t wait to make you my wife. And partly because I’m not sure what your grandfather would do to me if I knocked up his princess before I married her.”

She snorted a laugh and shook her head. “I’m not pregnant.”

I waited for her to stop giggling and look up at me.

“Are you sure?”

“Well…um…” She shifted restlessly on my lap. “It’s possible, I guess, but—”

“See?” I interrupted. “We need to get married as soon as we can.”

Her brows drew together as she tilted her head to the side. “But what if I’m not pregnant?”

“Then I’ll fuck you every chance I get until you are.”

She licked her lips, and my semi-hard cock swelled, making her smirk. “Okay.”

“To which part?”

McKenna laughed, and I reveled in the sound, loving that she did it so often.

“All of it,” she explained with a wink. “The marriage, the fucking, the having kids. All of it.”

“Fuck yes!” I shouted as I held her tight so I wouldn't drop her when I shot to my feet. I set her down and gave her a quick, hard kiss.
