Could you get motion sickness from a phone?

Asking for a friend.

A friend who was damned near nauseous by the time we got to my new apartment building. “Next time I drive. The zoomy camera stuff is…fuck.”

Cohen chucked as he pulled into an empty space. “Hell no.”

Snorting, I watched the camera zoom again before settling on Emerson’s dick.

His hard dick.

“I could always point out that we made it here in eight minutes?” I raised one eyebrow as Cohen frowned. “I thought so.”

Next time he had phone duty and I could speed.

“Oh, stars, Daddy.” The phone was facing Ian again as we climbed out of the car, and I was actually pretty sure he was just seeing the building lights across the street. The owners seemed to really like twinkly ones, but I wasn’t going to burst Ian’s bubble. “Did you go outside?”

“Yes, we came to help. Remember?” No, clearly he didn’t, but I couldn’t help myself.

Thankfully, he beamed and managed to nod without strangling himself or Emerson. “That’s right. You’re so helpful, just like Lane.”

Had Lane being helpful gotten them into this mess?

“Thank you, cutie.” I shot Cohen a glare as he finally broke and started to snicker. “Now you lose control?”

“I’m sorry.” Cohen shrugged, fighting for control. “Nothing like this has ever happened to me.”

This was not my fault.

It was Lane’s.

As we made it up to Ian’s apartment, thankfully without having to explain to anyone why we looked like we were wandering around in our pajamas, my badass Dom finally managed to get his giggles under control.

“We’re here, cutie.” Handing Cohen the keys, I tried to talk to Ian but the phone whirled again.

Kenton’s face popped up on the screen. “How quickly does dehydration set in? We remembered their circulation but Doms always have water. It’s important.”

Okay, he wasn’t wrong…not technically at least.

“We’re coming in and we’ll be able to see if they need water. Don’t worry about it right now.” Because with their luck they’d drown someone.

Probably poor naked Emerson.

There was a dull roar of voices coming from the bedroom as we got inside, so we headed in there as soon as the door was locked. It was a relief to finally be able to hang up the phone, but the chaos and insanity were mind-blowing.

How had they done that?

Ian and Emerson looked like an unbaked pretzel that’d gotten tortured somehow.

Cohen started to say something, then just shook his head and went over to Ian before kneeling down and trying again. “Let’s get this fixed.”

“Thank you, Uncle Cohen.” Ian beamed as Cohen studied the mess and started unwrapping the two subs. “Did you know you’re gay? I’m so happy for you. I was worried.”

Cohen gave Ian a tender smile and leaned over to kiss the stuck nut. “Don’t be worried, cutie. Gay or straight or something else entirely, I would always be your Uncle Cohen.”

Aww.

It would’ve been the most beautiful moment, but then Emerson sighed. “I have to pee. I think that’s a problem, right?”

God, this was…

Was this what falling in love looked like? Messy, half-naked, and a bit insane? I was starting to think the reason I hadn’t fallen in love before was that I’d been looking in all the wrong, boring, utterly normal places.

This was where I’d always been meant to be.

Crazy in love…and clearly with crazy people.

But before I could explain my epiphany to Cohen, who’d probably truly connect with it at this moment, Cohen snapped out an order that had Emerson looking like he was going to come. “If you pee on the floor, I’ll tell your owner. Naughty doll.”

Yep, I’d clearly missed all the good gossip by having a real life and goals this week.

Well, fuck that.

No more boring goals for me…there were more important things in life.

Chapter 25

Cohen

“Something died in my head. Ugh, my mouth too.” Ian’s frustrated whine had a confused tone that had me trying not to laugh. The way I was silently making the bed jerk let him know he wasn’t alone, though. “Daddy?”

From the other side of me, barely hanging on to the too-small mattress, Bishop answered, still half-asleep. “Yes?”

“No, he meant was it you who was laughing at his drama.” They both groaned as I explained the problem, but for vastly different reasons.

“I almost asked why you were here, but then I remembered.” Ian sighed before rubbing his hands over his face. “The new slushy recipe needs some work.”

I’d have to agree with him.

“You didn’t die, though, and Kenton made sure you didn’t get dehydrated. So it could’ve gone worse.” Bishop’s response had me rolling my eyes, but Ian groaned as his lips turned up at the sides. He couldn’t seem to decide if he was horrified or if the whole thing was funny.

I was voting for both.

“Why am I even remembering this? Shouldn’t the memories of ridiculous shenanigans get washed away by the alcohol?” Ian shifted, probably trying to turn over before he realized his bed was not big enough for all three of us and stayed put.
