Rath seemed to sense my desire because when I dared to lick at the seam of his lips, he parted them for me with a low groan. Soon I found myself kneeling to get closer to him as he sucked at my tongue, inviting me to explore him.
Everything was going well—better than well—amazing, when Rath shifted and suddenly it felt like he was looming over me. In the shadows of the flickering firelight, I thought I saw another face—a darker face filled with menacing hunger.
“Oh!” I gasped, and pulled away from him. He’d had his hands on my hips but he let me go at once, a concerned look on his face.
“What is it, baby? I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
“No.” I shook my head. “I just…I thought I saw…” I shook my head. “I don’t know what I saw. I’m sorry.”
“It’s all right. We’re still kind of getting to know each other,” he said patiently. “We can stop here and now if you want to.”
“But that’s the thing, I don’t want to stop!” I protested. “I want you to kiss me again—and do more than kiss me.”
Boldly, I put one arm around his neck and leaned towards him. As our lips met again, I reached for one of his big hands and put it on my breast.
Rath growled softly as his long fingers curled possessively around my breast. Then his thumb began to slowly tease my tight nipple, slipping back and forth over the aching bud until I moaned in his mouth.
“Mmm, baby—love your big breasts,” he growled softly. “They fit in my hands just right.”
I thought so too and the way he was thumbing my nipple was driving me crazy! The slow, teasing way he was touching me was sending sparks through my entire body and down to the aching place between my legs where I was getting wetter and wetter…
And then I saw it again—that face, leering at me from the shadows.
“Oh!” I gasped, pulling away from Rath abruptly.
He frowned, looking concerned all over again.
“What is it?”
“I…I thought I saw a face,” I admitted. “In the shadows…watching me. I know that sounds crazy…”
“No, it doesn’t,” Rath said. He looked over his shoulder, scanning the darkness. “There’s nobody there,” he said. “And I would know—Orcs have excellent vision. Better than humans.”
“I’m sorry,” I apologized, feeling like an idiot. We both wanted each other so much and I was ruining the experience!
“Look, if anything I’m doing is bothering you or setting you off—” Rath began. “I mean, if someone in the past hurt or abused you and what we’re doing is bringing it back—”
“No, no—nothing like that!” I said hurriedly. “At least…I don’t think so.”
When I thought about it though, I still had huge, gaping holes in the memories of my early childhood. What if someone had tried to hurt me and I had forgotten all about it?
I pushed the thought aside. I was fine I told myself—I was just being jumpy, that was all.
“You’re shaking.” Rath put one hand lightly on my shoulder, his golden eyes glowing with concern in the dim room. “I’m so sorry, baby.”
“No, I… I’m fine!” I protested. “Really. And I want to do this. I want you, Rath—more than I’ve ever wanted a guy before,” I admitted.
“Come here for a minute.” He held out his arms and after just a moment of hesitation, I went to him. “Good,” Rath murmured, hugging me gently but firmly against his big, hard body. He felt so warm and smelled so good I dared to bury my face in his neck and just melt against him. “Good girl,” he rumbled again. “That’s right—just relax for a minute.”
I wanted to do as he said, but being so close to him was only riling me up again. I could feel how much I wanted him—my body was aching with desire, my nipples were tight and my pussy was wet and swollen between my legs. It was almost as though all the pent up sexual frustration from the lust potion I’d taken the night before was still there inside me, just waiting to come out.
“Feeling any better?” Rath murmured after a little while.
“I…I think so.” I wasn’t shaking any more at least—that had to be a good sign, right? I told myself it definitely was. “Maybe I’m just seeing things because of the shadows…it’s kind of gloomy in here,” I offered.
“We can move things to the bedroom if you want,” Rath offered. “Or not—whatever makes you comfortable.”
I appreciated how he wasn’t pressuring me. I didn’t know what I had seen in the shadows, but it wasn’t Rath. The face I had seen was long and narrow—a human man, not an Orc. And he had burning red eyes which shouldn’t be familiar but somehow were…
It was the face I had seen in my nightmares, I suddenly remembered. But why was I seeing it now, when I was trying to get over my intimacy issues and finally get close to Rath—maybe even finally lose my virginity? Was something about the situation or position we were in triggering me? I just didn’t know.
