“Didn’t Beck tell you to keep your eyes closed?” Seth corrected her.
“Yes.” She shut them again immediately.
But she was deliciously aware of him, as evidenced by the fact her nipples in Beck’s palm turned rosier and harder, her breaths turned even choppier.
“Good,” Seth praised.
Then he took her hips in his hands—and pulled on her dress. She bit back a gasp as the thin garment floated down her thighs and skimmed her knees before falling to the floor.
She stood before him, trembling, in nothing but tiny, transparent white panties with a feminine filagree design, lace trim, and a little pink bow.
Seth swallowed. “You’re beautiful.”
“What are you going to do to me?”
She sounded anxious, and he tried to decide how best to answer her honestly while still putting her at ease.
Beck intervened. “Stop. You trust me, and I trust him. You have a safe word. Unless you want to use that, he’ll do whatever he wants to you. Do you understand, little girl?”
Her breathing turned increasingly uneven. Her nipples hardened more. Her chest flushed with a fresh splash of rosy color. Seth would bet that, if he touched her pussy right now, she’d be soaking wet.
Holy shit. This was bent enough to excite his kinky heart; no surprise about that. But it was turning her on, too?
“Yes, Sir.”
Her whisper whipped through Seth.
Oh, it was so on.
“Excellent,” Beck murmured in her ear, then gave her a little nudge in Seth’s direction. “Now go upstairs with him.”
For a tense moment, Heavenly stood in the no-man’s-land between him and Beck. Slowly, she opened her eyes. They were a dark, dilating blue as she tried to cover herself with her hands, almost as if it was a modesty reflex, but Seth caught her wrists in his grip and exerted just enough pressure to prevent her from concealing her flesh.
“I didn’t tell you to hide yourself,” Beck scolded, bending to pick up her discarded dress and drape it across his arm. “I told you to go upstairs with him. Are you safe wording out?”
“No, Sir.”
“Then why are you still standing there?” Beck turned away and headed downstairs, likely to check on Zach.
He was alone with Heavenly.
She swallowed hard and offered him her trembling hand.
Fuck that.
Seth bent and scooped her into his arms. It was all he could do not to swallow her little gasp of surprise with his kiss. Instead, he climbed the stairs two at a time until he reached their bedroom. Then he settled her on her feet just beside the mattress and blocked her route to the door, ensuring she only had two places to go—onto the bed or into his arms. Either worked for him.
“Heavenly, you know me,” he reminded solemnly.
She met his stare with cutting doubt. “I thought I did.”
“You still do. I’m every bit the man you met last December. I’m still the man you fell in love with. I’m the man you moved in with. I’m one of the only two men you’ve ever allowed inside your body.”
She closed her eyes. “In my head, I know all that.”
“Let me remind your heart.” He clutched her shoulders, dragged her against him, fell into her scorching blue stare, and took her mouth.
For an instant, she stiffened and fought, but he kept on, working his lips over hers until slowly, bit by bit, she softened under him, clinging to him.
Seth needed her—to be with her, tasting her, on top of her, plundering her. He stayed patient, plying her with slow, drugging kiss after slow, drugging kiss. Finally, she stepped into his embrace, her arms creeping around his neck, allowing him to press every inch of his body against hers.
Footsteps up the stairs alerted Seth that Beck was coming for them. When Heavenly would have backed away, he held tight, keeping the lock he had on her lips and prying them apart with his own until he tasted the recesses of her candied mouth.
“This is a promising development,” Beck praised, approaching while he shucked his T-shirt. “Be a good girl and take off Seth’s coat.”
When she pulled her lips away and lifted her lashes to peer at Seth with hot eyes, electricity pinged through him.
But Beck wasn’t having it. “Did I say to stop kissing him?”
Heavenly turned the doctor’s way, her lips parted in surprise. “N-no, but I—”
“Didn’t think?” he cut in. “Give him your mouth and take off his coat.”
And just like that, her breathing turned erratic again. Seth watched the pulse surge and thrum at her neck.
He yanked her against his body and delved past her lips, tongue sweeping through every corner until she melted against him. Her fingers clutched at the lapels of his suit as if that alone could keep her wobbling legs upright.
Beck squeezed in behind her and gripped her hips like he meant business. “Last time I’m going to tell you. Coat off.”
