I figured I’d address it now.
“I just want to put this out there. You’re probably going to catch me staring at your body several times today, and I might have a perpetual hard-on. You look incredibly sexy.”
She grinned mischievously. “I selected my wardrobe very carefully.”
“So you’re trying to drive me crazy? It’s working. I can’t take my eyes off you.”
“That’s okay, because I love the way you look at me.”
“Well, I happen to love looking at you.”
It was too early to be feeling this turned on. Pace yourself. I wanted to carry her to my bedroom and ravage her. I knew I needed to get that thought out of my head. She’s a virgin. I’d vowed not to cross that line with Raven this weekend, so I definitely needed to suck it up.
She lifted the plate of crackers and cheese I’d laid out. “I’ll take this outside.”
My eyes were glued to her ass as she walked through the French doors to the pool.
We sat out in the sun for a while, Raven on the lounger right next to me.
I placed my hand on the smooth skin of her thigh. “I still can’t believe your mom was okay with you spending the entire weekend here. It’s nice that you have the kind of relationship where you can be open with her.”
She sat up a little. “She knows I’m an adult. She just told me to be careful.”
“Ah…because she knows I bite.”
“Pretty much.”
“So, she doesn’t exactly trust me, if she felt the need to warn you.”
“It’s not that. She just knows you’re a—”
“A horny twenty-one-year-old guy who’s going to try to get into your pants?”
“Well, yeah.” She laughed. “Aren’t you?”
“I’m horny as fuck. But remember what I said about getting in your pants the night we first went out?”
“The only way you’ll be in my pants is if I put you there.”
“That’s right. I plan to be good—unless you beg me to be bad.” He winked. “I’ve got the guest bedroom all set up for you and everything. I really do just want to spend time with you.”
“Then, let’s do it.” She got up suddenly and dove into the pool.
I followed suit, jumping in after her, leaving a huge splash of water in my wake.
Over the next hour, we had the best time playing like a couple of kids. We’d race from one end of the pool to the other. I lifted her up in the air and tossed her in the water too many times to count. At one point, when I took her into my arms, instead of throwing her, I wrapped her legs around my waist and kissed her. I’d been dying to do it. Thankfully, she didn’t resist; she let me devour her mouth just the way I wanted as her long, wet hair covered us both. I knew she must have felt how hard I was. Pressed up against her stomach, my dick felt like it was going to explode.
I let out what my heart had been holding in as I spoke over her lips. “I don’t want to leave you, Raven. I don’t want to go to Connecticut.”
“I don’t want you to leave, either.”
Putting her down, I looked into her eyes. “What if I told you we could make this work?”
“How?”
“I’ll pay for you to come visit me. And I’ll come home more often, too.”
“And your mother’s going to somehow magically not know why you’re coming back so much?”
“She won’t have to know I’m here.”
“Won’t she see the charges?”
“Believe it or not, I don’t rely on my parents for everything. I plan on getting a job up there. It will come out of that money.” Threading my fingers in her hair, I added, “I’m nowhere near ready to say goodbye to you.”
A look of worry came across her face, like I’d just reminded her of the fact that I was leaving. “What day are you flying out again?”
“It was supposed to be August fifteenth.”
Now she looked panicked. “Jesus. That’ll be here so fast.”
“I know.”
We were silent for a while. I fidgeted with her gold necklace. The charm was her name in cursive. Even though I didn’t really mean it, I said, “If you want to part ways with me...that’s okay, too.” I gulped, anticipating her response.
Please don’t take me up on that.
“That’s not what I want. I haven’t even been able to think about you leaving. I’m in total denial.”
Relief washed over me. We were on the same page. I would do whatever it took to continue seeing her.
“Let’s just take it one day at a time,” I said. “I only brought this up because I wanted to make sure you knew I don’t want this summer to be the end.”
Her eyelids fluttered as if she was trying to process more than her mind could handle.
“Talk to me, Raven. What’s on your mind?”
