As my legs began to quiver, I could almost feel Kai’s smirk against me. As I started to close my legs, he gripped my thighs and spread them wider, giving him more room to explore.
“Kai, I’m…I’m going to…”
He growled in desire against my core as I released myself fully for him, and he tasted every piece of me. When he finished, he pulled away with a wicked smile. He trailed his thumb against his bottom lip before licking it clean. He leaned forward toward my mouth and whispered, “I love when you feed me so well.” He pressed his mouth to mine, allowing me to taste his recent explorations.
“Now you,” I whispered, still wanting more.
“Your wish is my command,” he slyly snickered. He steadied himself over me before sliding his hardness inside. Feeling him enter me was almost enough to bring me to another orgasm. He locked his eyes with mine as he wrapped my legs around his shoulders. He began thrusting in and out of me at a divine pace. When it was his turn to finish, he leaned forward and gently bit into my shoulder blade to stop himself from making too much noise.
Once we finished, Kai trailed kisses across my body, the same way he had when we first hooked up. That sent a wave of comfort throughout my system. His dirty talk was amazing, but his gentle kisses afterward? That level of intimacy was my new favorite thing.
“Holly,” he breathed heavily, kissing my shoulder as he pulled me closer. “I want to do that with you forever.”
I smiled and snuggled in closer to him. “Merry Christmas Eve, Kai.”
He kissed my nose gently and closed his eyes. “Merry Christmas Eve.”
HOLLY
I slept in later than normal and blamed the late night with Kai for that fact. Right as I rolled over, I realized he was missing from the bed, and the first thing my mind did was miss him. I missed him, even though he had been with me the whole night before. I’d never had a person that I missed so instantly.
The sun was beaming through the curtains as I sat up to stretch my arms in the air. I couldn’t stop thinking about the night prior. I couldn’t stop smiling at the memory of me lying against Kai’s chest, listening to his heartbeats as he held me wrapped in his arms.
“You’re up,” Kai said as he walked into the bedroom. He leaned against the doorframe with two travel coffee mugs in his hand. He was bundled up from head to toe in winter gear.
“I am. You’re a bit more up than I am, though.”
“There’s about fourteen inches of snow outside. We are officially snowed in for a while. I helped your dad shovel a little, but we couldn’t do much. We have to wait for the plow team to come through.”
“I’m sorry you got stuck doing that.”
“I’m not complaining.” He flicked his thumb against his nose and nodded toward me. “You want to do something corny that’s right up your alley?”
My eyes widened with excitement. “What is it?”
“Do you want to build a snowman with me?”
Why did my heart flip as if he’d just proposed to me?
“Really?” I asked, timid as if he’d take back the question if I responded with too much joy and excitement.
“Yeah.” He walked over to me and sat beside me on the edge of the bed. “And do you know what’s in these tumblers?”
I pushed out my bottom lip and whimpered a little. “Is it hot cocoa?”
“Oh yeah,” he nodded, “it’s hot cocoa. And do you know what we will do after we build a snowman?”
I began tapping my hands against my kneecaps with the excitement of a three-year-old. “Make sugar cookies, sit by the fireplace, and defrost our frozen toes with matching socks?!”
“That’s exactly what’s going to happen,” he agreed.
“I thought you thought this stuff was cheesy and unrealistic.”
“Yeah, well…what can I say? You make me believe in fairytales.”
If only he knew what his words did to my soul.
Kai waited in the bedroom as I went to the bathroom to freshen up and get bundled up for the ridiculously snow-packed outdoors. I was one to get cold within two seconds of being outside, but my inner being was a five-year-old. Therefore, that meant I’d be freezing my bum off and still stay outside for hours, frozen snotty nose and all.
Most guys would probably be annoyed with my excitement about building a snowman at my ripe age of twenty-five, and perhaps Kai felt the same way, but he didn’t try to tarnish my thrill of it all for a second.
Life was hard enough. Building a snowman was a spark of light to me in a very dull world.
“How do I look?” I asked him as I appeared in the bedroom with my vibrant pink snow pants and purple snow boots. I had my oversized purple winter coat, pink hat, scarf, and gloves. If there was one thing I was always prepared for, it was building a snowman in painful temperatures.
