She doesn’t reply right away. I look at my screens to see Lizzy is gone from her chair. I assume she went to ask Ny questions. Ny is going to have to tell her sister who I am sooner or later.
I keep my eyes on my phone, waiting for her to reply, but after ten minutes, I give up. I still have someplace to be. However, I’m not done.
Me: Come home. Ride my cock and yell at me. Choke me while you fuck me but bring your ass home. I’m tired of playing.
There. That should settle that.
Chapter 19
Master of Puppets
Gio
We’re almost at the Dollhouse when my phone rings. I frown because it’s still not Ny. She hasn’t replied to my last text. My mood sours with each hour that passes. She’s going to get someone killed at this rate.
“Hello,” I bite out as I answer the call.
“Your brother was a no-show at breakfast today. I haven’t shared that information you wanted me to pass on,” Talon Thompson says into the line.
I growl. I need Dario to think this indictment can touch him so he gets his ass out of here until I’m done. For now, it is a problem for him. If he remains in America, they can slip by me before I clean the slate and leave them with nothing.
With each witness I dispose of, I’m drawing more attention. I can’t tell Dario to leave. His curiosity is a problem. I need him to think this was his choice.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll make sure it lines up,” I reply.
“Oh, I thought you should know Jr. has gotten out of control. They’re thinking about pulling him in before he can run for it.”
“I got it. Thanks.”
I hang up and sigh. I’m going to have to address Silvio Jr. soon.
“How soon can you pull Asia and Nadine from their assignments?” I say to Jace.
“I can have them back here in about two weeks.”
“Do it.”
We pull into the Dollhouse parking lot and park. I climb out and head inside for my first meeting. That will be on the third floor, away from the entertainment and special favors on the lower levels.
“Good evening,” one of the girls says as I pass by her for my private elevator.
I’ve designed this place for its purpose. Hits happen on the first floor, closer to the basement level, for clean disposal of the bodies. Sexy parties are on level two. Guests feel elite because they’ve traveled up a level.
On the third floor, I conduct business. That’s where they come to ask for favors. I have dolls up there, but they’re mostly for security. They give our guests a false sense of confidence.
You’d be surprised how much a man will relax when there seems to be no muscle around. They drink more, say more, trust more. No one ever thinks of the threat Jace might be.
That is when he’s in sight. Each floor is wrapped with safe rooms. Bulletproof walls for nondolls to run behind for safety if needed.
There’s an arsenal on every floor worth marveling over. There aren’t many who work here who aren’t trained killers, but there are a few. The frosted safety glass also acts as a partition for the staff to move between floors.
I exit the elevator on my floor, Jace right behind me while texting on his phone. I don’t have time to ask if he’s texting Ny. I need my head in the game.
Robby G comes into view, and I grunt to myself but put on a smile as I cross the room. This should be interesting.
This guy only shows up when he wants something that doesn’t belong to him. He’s gotten in the habit of using my girls as his muscle. He’s going to be surprised when I cut his ass off.
I don’t need him anymore, especially given the new information I have. His favors are useless. Jace stops me with a hand on my shoulder. I turn to look back at him.
“She’ll be here in an hour. Let’s make this bullshit quick,” he says, glancing at Robby. “I hate him.”
I ignore his tone because I feel the same way. Not to mention, I want to be alert when Ny arrives. I have a genuine smile now. I knew I had made myself clear.
“Robby, what can’t I do for you today?”
He looks at me, stupefied. I have to stifle my laugh. I knew he wasn’t going to expect this.
“G… Gio. What’s going on, buddy?” he says with a trembling smile.
“I’m not in the mood for your bullshit. Whatever you planned to ask for, that’s going to be a no.”
“But why? My money’s no good? I have that thing you asked me about. I can make it happen.”
“Nah, that’s not necessary anymore. You’re an inconvenience. I think it’s time we part ways.”
