Shit, if I’m gonna let her go away I better start getting use to this shit. In my head I know this shit, but my heart is still playing catch up. Now I have to go down these stairs and try to figure out just what the hell my wife has in store for my ass.

I knew she and Cierra were up to something, but I thought it had to do with the boy and Caitiebear. I didn’t know she was going to bring the whole squad here.

“Daddy?” Shit, my spawn came into the room all smiles and waving her fingers at her uncles. She made the rounds saying hello and asking about the babies like an old housewife. “What are you doing up here Catalina?”

“I have to tell you something.” Shit!

She walked around behind my desk and put her hand up to my ear. “Mommy didn’t call them, I did.”

“You? How? Why?”

“Um…” She looked around the room and I didn’t even mourn the fact that I believed she’d pulled it off without question.

“Because the bad men are here.”

“What do you mean?” She pulled some papers from under her shirt and passed them to me.

“What’s going on?” Zak asked as he tried to look over my desk at the papers in my hand.

“My daughter just informed me that she’s the one who called you all here.”

All eyes went to her and she tried to disappear into my side. I’ve never seen her acting this shy before, she must know her ass is in for it now. I read over the papers before passing them around. Looks like she and her little friends had been at it again.

“How did you do this?”

“Guess what daddy.” Here we go with her shit.

“So, I didn’t show you all the stuff I got off your computer before. Remember the chart I showed you earlier? Well, Nia found one of the groups not far from here.”

“She knows how to do stuff with computers that I don’t, but she’s going to teach me.” Over my dead body. I ignored the hopeful look she gave me after that one. “Carry on with your story Mengele.”

“Humph, she found where the group meets online, then we tried to figure out the language, they mostly talk in code.” Again she stopped and looked around the room as if waiting for applause.

“And?”

“Craig’s List, look daddy, it took me all day to find it but I finally did. You see, this code is what they use when they’ve taken someone. And this, is the Ad they place on the sight.” It was just an innocent Ad looking for teenage babysitters who wanted to make a little extra cash.

“How do you know that these are the same people?”

“We found the IP address but I can’t find the house address because the IP is the same for the whole neighborhood.”

“A jammer.” That was Connor’s take.

As she explained to me how she’d narrowed down her search there were a lot of surprised looks and more than one of the grown men in the room mouthed the words ‘what the fuck’ to me over her head. I didn’t even blink, didn’t give her any indication that she’d surprised the hell outta me once again.

That’s the thing with Mengele; it takes a while for me to process some of the shit she does. At least I wasn’t the only one, even Mancini wasn’t looking so sure of himself. I guess she’d pulled one over on him this time.

“How did you get my plane to go to Georgia?” She rubbed her little legs together like she had to use the bathroom. “I have to use the bathroom daddy.” She whispered the words to me and tried to make her escape. I watched her little ass until she reached the door, I could all but hear the sigh of relief when she thought she’d made her escape.

“Come back here.” I think she muttered something that sounded like drats. That’s her new word since I forbid her to say dang a few days ago. “Tell me, how did you send the plane to Georgia?” She sighed really hard like she was put upon.

“Daddy, did you know that aunty Cierra gets really- really tired when she’s sleepy? You can ask her anything and she’d say yes.”

Mancini cleared his throat and sat up in his chair. “Are you saying that you tricked my wife into letting you use a hundred million dollar plane?”

“You owe me uncle Hank.” The two of them had a stare down which I ignored. I’m not getting involved in their shit. Serves his stupid ass right.

“But wait, that doesn’t answer the question of how you got our wives to agree to come here.” Logan was still looking surprised by this turn of events. I’d gloat at the fact that these fucks were all had by an eight year old, if my ass wasn’t numbered among them.
