The touch brushing over his own softening dick and balls made Clover groan and close his eyes. “Yes,” he rasped. “It’s everything I wanted. For you to own me like this.”

Tank hummed and cradled Clover in his arms, watching him with a fondness that had Clover’s heart soaring. He knew he didn’t deserve it, yet he wanted it so much nevertheless.

“Feel any better now?”

Clover kissed along Tank’s jaw. Ridiculous ‘I-love-yous’ were popping in his brain like champagne bubbles, but he knew it was elation that made him feel this way. He needed to be reasonable.

“Yes, thank you. What would I have done without my Daddy?” he teased, hugging Tank tightly.

“Nothing. You’d still be crying yourself to sleep. But now you’re healed through the magic power of cock,” Tank said, amused, and played with the torn fabric over Clover’s ass.

Clover snorted and punched Tank’s rock-hard arm. “I’m hungry. I must have burned a lot of calories.”

Tank chuckled but stepped out of bed, pulling Clover along. Clover had no idea where the man got his energy. Their bodies collided, and Clover made sure to keep himself upright by grabbing Tank’s waist. “You weren’t the one burning the calories, boy, but fair enough.”

Clover couldn’t stop touching Tank, relieved that things between them were good again. “I recall getting very sweaty, thank you very much.”

He was about to go out as he was but in the end pulled on Tank’s T-shirt and grabbed his man’s hand again, trying to ignore the damp sensation between his buttocks. It felt good but also embarrassing, and he’d need to get used to it. Though knowing it was Tank’s spunk he was so full of made it much easier to accept the oddness of it.

They didn’t speak, walking the moonlit corridor in comfortable silence, not broken even for a little cuddle that made Clover’s insides flutter. Trust was a new thing he’d need to learn, but the concept was growing on him. He could see himself depending on a man like Tank. On all of them, with time. Well, maybe not on Drake.

When they reached the kitchen, Tank picked Clover up by the ass, and they made out again as he carried Clover toward the fridge. But he bumped into something--someone.

Tank dug his fingers into Clover’s ass, and when they turned, stepping away from the fridge, Boar’s face came into view, and Clover felt his stomach tighten. He was not ready for this confrontation.

“I-uh. See you in the morning,” Boar mumbled, but Tank let Clover slide to the floor and held his arm.

“Were you hiding here all this time? We kissed for like... a minute.”

Clover swallowed. It was now or never. “Wait. Boar? Can we talk?”

Boar made a pained sigh. “I didn’t want to disturb you. Thought I’d sneak out. Never mind. What is it?” The question sounded harsh, and Boar’s gaze wasn’t any softer when it landed on Clover.

In the dark, it was impossible to see details, especially since Clover wasn’t wearing glasses and only recognized Boar because of his shape and the thick beard, but there was a sense of hurry in the air. As if Boar wanted to run away from Clover and never have to face him again.

Clover reached for Boar’s hand. “I’m sorry.” The apology came to him easier than the one he offered Tank. Maybe he was getting better at this whole honest-people-interactions thing. “You caught me off-guard earlier.”

Boar’s gaze darted away, and he gave a low huff. “Okay.”

Clover paused. Oh. This wasn’t good at all. He squeezed Boar’s fingers, encouraged by Tank’s hands on his shoulders. “No, I mean it. I said some shitty things. This isn’t a transaction to me. I do like you. I like that you’re teaching me how to cook, and that you remember what I like and what I don’t. It matters to me. And maybe one day we can set off some fireworks together.”

Boar groaned but didn’t reject Clover’s hand. “I like you too. You’re like milk candy.”

Clover stepped closer to Boar and hugged him. “I had a serious talk with Tank, and he agreed for me to stay. I don’t know where it’ll take us, but I don’t want it to end. I acted like a shit because I didn’t want to get attached to you if you were to leave me in a few days anyway. It’s really easy to get attached to you, Boar.”

Boar’s breath caught, and he briefly glanced at Tank before focusing his attention on Clover. “You’re staying? You’ll travel with us?” he asked, but thick arms were already pulling Clover to his chest, which felt softer than Tank’s but equally inviting.

Tank snorted. “It’s like I told you. There are no people in New York. We could be his people.”

“Drake?” Boar asked.

Clover felt a pang of nerves in his stomach. Had he not done enough to make Drake at least bear his presence? Would this be a deal breaker?
