I didn’t care if she felt my big, hard cock pressing against her ass. In fact, I grinned when a shudder passed through her curvy body. Bending my head, I buried my face in her soft, coconut-scented curls.

“Damn, you smell good,” I muttered, just loud enough that only she would hear me. I was willing to bet my football team that she tasted just as delicious.

As we ascended, the car began to empty. By the time we reached my floor, only one other couple remained in the space with us. I raised my head and moved to Brie’s side, slipping my arm around her waist.

My eyes strayed to the young couple, and a growl rumbled in my throat when I realized the man was staring at my woman. Brie glanced up at me curiously, but I barely noticed because my eyes were glued to the little shit eyeing my girl’s curves with lust on his face.

At my sound of displeasure, he tore his gaze from Brie to look at me. Obviously, he understood my murderous scowl because he immediately glanced down and turned to the woman he was standing with. She looked up at him with an expression of adoration, then held out her left hand and admired a sparkling diamond on her ring finger.

The asshole slung his arm around her, and that was when I saw the gold band on his own finger. I wanted to vomit, then beat the shit out of the sick son of a bitch. But Brie was my number one priority, and I didn’t want her witnessing a brawl—let alone being this close to one. Nor did I want to risk ending up in jail.

So I kept my hands to myself as we exited the elevator. But just as the doors were about to close, Brie spun around and stuck her hand out to hold them open. “You can do better than this creep,” she told the girl, then stood back and let the doors silently come together before the car whooshed out of sight.

I took her chin between my fingers and raised her face so I could grin down at her. “Nicely done, baby. And sexy as hell.”

Brie’s cheeks turned pink, and her eyes sparkled with pleasure. “My mom and dad made sure I knew how to recognize a creep when I see one,” she shared. “I’d love to get married and have kids, but if a man doesn’t look at me the way my dad looks at my mom, he’s not worth it. I’ll wait for one who does.”

Her answer just proved, yet again, how perfect she was for me. But it wasn’t the time to get that serious, so I resumed our trek to my room as I queried, “Your parents are still in love?”

“Disgustingly so,” Brie replied with a laugh. “Thirty-seven years together and nine kids, but they still act like newlyweds.”

It was clear from her tone that she loved them and admired their relationship. Apparently, I had a lot to live up to, but I wasn’t worried. Brielle had become my obsession from the minute I first saw her, and I had no doubt it would only grow through the years.

Again, I was reminded of my friend Justice. He and his wife had been together since she was eighteen and had a gaggle of kids. I was willing to bet he would get along great with Brie’s dad.

We finally reached the end of the hall, and I retrieved my phone from the pocket of my trunks. “Nine, huh?” I asked as I unlocked the door with the hotel app. “And where are you in the lineup?”

“Number seven. I have two younger brothers. One three minutes and the other a little over a year.”

“You’re a twin?” I asked and pushed the door open, gesturing for her to enter first.

“Yes. Hollis and I are actually the second set of twins.”

Once we were inside, I shut the door and stood facing it for a moment, trying to get control of myself so I didn’t grab her and take her straight to bed.

“What about you?” Her voice trembled a little, and I immediately turned around, concerned at what had frightened her. But she didn’t look scared. She appeared nervous and excited as she switched her weight from foot to foot.

“I have an older sister. We’re eight years apart, so she sometimes thinks she’s my mother. And a brother who is two years younger than me.” I smiled, thinking about how Amy would react when she found out about Brie. She’d be over the fucking moon, and I’d finally get peace from her badgering. “I’m actually closer to my nephew…” I suddenly remembered my dinner plans. There was no way in hell that I would be ready to leave this room before I had to go to Gabe’s bachelor party tomorrow night. “Shit. I need to make a call.”
