“Finn,” Lucas says. “I asked if you’re sure.”

“Why are you questioning me?” I snap. “Is it because I sent her flowers? I told you that was…”

“Josslyn’s downstairs.”

My stomach drops. “What?”

“Not that it matters, since you don’t care what she does or who she—”

“What the fuck is she doing there?” I growl. “Who is she with? Has she gone into a private room?”

I go up to the valet and give him my ticket, waving it so he knows I’m in a hurry.

“She…” He clears his throat. “She was in one of the bigger private rooms.”

My stomach churns again. Fuck, I’m going to be sick. “Who is she with?”

“Some guy. I just started looking through the list downstairs and when I saw her name, I checked the cameras.”

Some guy. She has me in fucking knots and she’s at my club with some guy.

“Fuck!” I tighten the grasp on my phone so I won’t throw it. “Go down there!”

“And do what?”

“I don’t fucking know, Luke. Show your face and entertain her until I get there.

“Entertain her? You sure you want me to do that?” he asks, and I can picture the smirk on his face.

“You better not fucking touch her.”

He’s quiet for a beat. “Weren’t you saying you wanted a palate cleanser? Maybe this is hers. It’s only fair.”

“Fair?!” I shout. “Lucas, I swear to fucking god if you don’t go down there…”

“I’ll keep an eye on her via the cameras and find out who she’s there with.”

“That’s not enough!” Heart racing, I hang up and start pacing. “Goddamnit!”

Where the fuck is my car? My fucking head is spinning, my stomach hurts, and my heart won’t quit pounding in my ears. Motherfucking Josslyn. As I pace, I pull up her location, but nothing comes up, which means her phone is off. Jesus Christ. Did she go there by herself? Is Olivia with her? I look at the last text I sent her, the one that remains unanswered.

Me: a lapse in judgment

Josslyn: kind of how you feel about us then

Me: i never said that

Fuck. I should’ve followed my gut and stayed at her place the other day. I should’ve called or texted. I thought a couple of days apart would bring clarity, but I know I’m only fooling myself. Time without her only brings misery. And thinking about her with another man. Moaning for him, coming for him … fuck.

I set a hand over my aching stomach. Where the hell is the valet? I take a deep, steadying breath, wishing I had someone to tell me that I’m not going to die and that what I’m feeling is normal. Hamilton’s inside, but there’s no way I’m involving him in this right now. Ella is on a yacht in Europe with some fucking lingerie model. And my cousin is being a fucking asshole. I laugh despite myself. None of them would know if this is normal.

“You’re leaving without saying goodbye?” a soft female voice asks, pulling me from my thoughts.

I turn to find Tasha standing by the door. God, this is the last thing I need right now. “Something came up.”

“I’ll let them know. I just wanted to give you my number before you left.” She smiles as she walks over with an exaggerated sway.

“I can’t take it.” I look toward the street again, willing my car to show up.

“I know about your one-night stand rule and NDA. I’m okay with both.” She moves so she’s in front of me and I have no choice but to look at her.

“I have a girlfriend.” The words fly out of my mouth before I can stop them.

I’m sure I look as shocked as she does. Where the fuck did that come from? A girlfriend? I’ve never called anyone my girlfriend. I’ve always thought it was such a dumb word, but associating it with Josslyn feels right. I’m so fucked. If there was any doubt about how I felt, this confirms it. Josslyn fucking owns me. Now that I’ve accepted it, I realize how many things I’ve already done wrong and my stomach twists again.

“Oh.” Tasha takes a step back, eyes wide. “Oh. Oh my gosh. I’m so sorry. I had no idea. I just … I thought you didn’t do the relationship thing.”

I huff out a laugh. I do now. I keep that to myself.

“I thought it was just a rumor, but I’m assuming it’s Josslyn?” she asks, and when I don’t respond, she adds, “She’s really pretty. I love her videos. They make me feel like we’re besties.”

“Yeah, she has that effect on people,” I say, feeling my lips tug as I think about the way she lights up any room she’s in.

And now she’s lighting up as some other guy stuffs his cock inside her. The thought makes my heart drop hard.

The sound of my car behind me kicks my adrenaline back into high gear. I rush to the driver’s side, not even bothering to say goodbye to Tasha as I give the guy a tip and floor it.
