“Ammo, she’s not your property.” Granger blocks me from going after her.

“The fuck you just say?” I look at him because I guess he does want me to kick his ass.

“Go ahead.” Granger smiles, but we’re thankfully interrupted from me beating his ass in public.

“Am-ooo” Nuke stands in the doorway, pounding on his chest like he’s Tarzan, no shirt, his pants hanging low on his waist.

“Yeah, he got back into town yesterday. He’s been on a mission.” Granger hands me a shot as we both watch our drummer pound his way to us.

“Brother.” I hug him, because besides being shit-faced, he looks good. Nuke is, without a doubt, the best drummer in the world, and I love him like a brother. His demons run deep, though.

“Got back yesterday, and my girlfriend…you remember the yoga instructor?” I step back because he literally smells like a tequila bottle and cigarettes.

“Yeah?”

“She’s screwing an old, fat suit. My shit is either on her lawn right now, or in storage.” He laughs.

“Christ. You want to stay at my place?” I can always stay at Courtney’s, and Nuke seems to need me. That, and I don’t want him getting back on the smack. He just spent four months in the Tibetan mountains getting clean. He’s also got a healthy color back to him and finally gained some muscle weight.

“Nah, I’ll figure it out.” Nuke puts his hand on my shoulder.

“That’s not a bad idea. Go stay with Ammo until you get a place, Nuke.” Rhys nods in agreement.

“Dudes, I’m fine. My future wife is somewhere in this room, just waiting to take me home.” He grins at us.

“Christ.” I shake my head as my eyes go to Courtney who is laughing at something Gia and Axel are saying.

“Cash here?” Bringing the shot of Jäger to my lips.

“Not yet, he said he’d make an appearance. He’s got shit going on,” Granger says as I nod, turning to the bartender.

“Hey, darlin’, can I have that bottle of Jäger, please?” Grinning at her, she blushes and smiles back, handing me the bottle. I reach into my pocket and drop a hundred in her tip jar.

“Ammo.” Granger tries to block me from walking around them.

“It’s Gia’s party, man, don’t start shit with Axel.” I stare at him until he shakes his head and moves aside.

Even I can’t stop myself since I have a one-track mind…and that track seems to lead directly to Courtney fucking Falcon.

COURTNEY

My heart is ready to pound out of my chest. Something is seriously wrong with me, why would I get flustered, excited, whatever this is watching Ammo lose his shit? Normal girls would think that was a big red flag, right?

Clearly, I’m not normal.

Not normal at all, I can barely breathe as I let Gia drag me away.

“So, you and Ammo?” Gia turns back to look at me, and it’s not fair how freaking gorgeous she is. With her long dark hair and big green eyes, I’ll admit I was jealous of her the first time we met. She was hired to shoot our second album cover for Broken Vixens. I think she also shot me and Roxy for Vogue, maybe it was Vanity Fair, I can’t remember. All I know is she’s tall, vibrant, and talented. The fact that she brought Rhys Granger to his knees is not surprising.

Granger’s actually hotter in person than he is on TV or in magazines. The man oozes sex appeal.

Yet he does absolutely nothing for me, since all I seem to crave now is the six-foot-three, blond-haired, tattooed god standing next to him.

I might seriously be fucked. Like am I falling for Ammo?

Pull it together, Court, remember your golden rule…trust no one!

“Courtney, this is my brother Axel.” Gia breaks into my subconscious rant as I blink up at a man who might very well be as beautiful as Granger, but who also makes me want to take a step back because he’s kind of scary.

Strike that, he is scary.

So, this is Axel Fontaine…he’s famous in his own right, as in, he was the original guitarist for the Dicks. Ammo replaced him when he left the band.

My eyes take in his black vest that has VP and Disciples on it, and I smile and try not to look intimidated.

“And this is Antionette, his wife, and Julianna is my bestie…oh, where’s Ryder?” Gia looks around the crowded room.

“Blade called, he should be right back.” The stunning blonde smiles and holds out her hand. I think Gia just said her name was Julianna. I suck at names, I never forget a face, but names just go right out the window as soon as I hear them. I blame it on meeting too many people.

“We are such big fans, aren’t we, Axel?” Antionette pipes in as she leans back into her biker-slash-killer husband. God, they should be on the cover of a magazine because she looks like a skinny Marilyn Monroe; she’s even got the beauty mark.
