“Get inside, Nuke,” Ammo snarls.

“The fuck is wrong with this dick? Doesn’t he know who I am?” Nuke yells as he passes the bodyguard.

“Jesus Christ.” Ammo shakes his head, disgusted as he shuts his door and looks over at me, his eyes trailing up and down my body.

“The press showed up about an hour ago. I called Ace, he’s on his way, but the neighbors are pissed they can’t get out of their houses. I waited as long as I could not to disturb you, but when Nuke arrived, along with the chopper…” the bodyguard states, looking calm even with this mayhem around us.

“Whatever, the cops will be here soon and clear them out, this isn’t the first time.” Ammo frowns at me, his eyes focused on my breasts, which of course, makes my nipples harden.

“You need more security.” Nuke points at him as he drops down onto a couch, then turns his focus on me.

“Courtney, come sit.”

“This coming from you, the multimillionaire squatter.” Ammo grabs my hand tight, thankfully stopping me from having to sit next to Nuke. Had I known he was showing up, I’d have put pants on.

“Can we get some alcohol?” He smirks as the helicopter finally leaves, the cops must have arrived.

“What happened to your sobriety?” Ammo growls as he pulls me with him to the kitchen.

“I’m LA sober, alcohol doesn’t count,” he yells after us. “And bring some food, fucking starving, man. Oh, and Courtney, call Melanie to come over please, I lost my phone,” he grumbles.

“Do not call Melanie, he’ll be passed out in minutes, but do get your ass upstairs and put some fucking clothes on.” Ammo pushes me up against his refrigerator, his nose going into my neck as he breathes in my scent.

Not being able to do anything but smile as he licks me, I ask, “But… Is he okay?”

“He’s a fucking addict.” He sighs and steps back.

“Is he staying with us? I mean, you…does he really not have a house?” My face heats up as he cups my face with his hands.

“Yeah, he’s staying with us.” His eyes caress my face. “Get your sweet ass upstairs, I need to deal with getting rid of the fucking paparazzi and the cops.” He kisses my lips, and then growls as he deepens the kiss. And I hold on, my nails digging into his eight pack.

“Fuck.” He backs up, removing my hands from his stomach. “Get upstairs.” He tells me as I brace myself against the cool metal of the refrigerator and smile at him, because my life is out of control, but I think…I might actually be happy.

“Yes, sir.” I grin and squeal as he goes to grab me, but I spin away, out of his reach and head for the stairs. I look over at Nuke who is passed out, snoring on the couch, one leg still on the floor.

“Naked, I want you naked in my bed.” Ammo smirks as he watches me dart up the stairs, not able to stop smiling as I speed walk to get there.

We have Nuke, the cops, press, stalkers, bodyguards, the list goes on and on, but all I care about is the fact that I’m here.

And Ammo said he loves me.

For the first time ever, I can honestly say, I love my life.

AMMO

“Jesus Christ.” Malcolm takes a deep inhale off his cigarette. “I don’t think we can get better. What do you think?”

“I think she was born for this and eats it up.” Grinning as my eyes watch Courtney in the booth, her head back, belting out that note, fucking goosebumps.

Malcolm’s right, at this point the album is done. We’ve got all the songs, I can add and change things here and there, but it’s pure magic.

Everything we wanted and then some.

My pocket vibrates with an incoming text, and I instantly recognize that it’s from the burner phone. I’ve been waiting for it, almost dreading it, since the last week has been the best of my life. Funny how you can live your existence and not realize how lonely you are until the right person shows up.

I never thought about it, always on the road, substituting one woman for the next, and then Courtney torpedoes in, destroying all thoughts of any other woman.

I want to build a life with her. Fuck, I want the fairytale.

FROSTY: need to meet. tomorrow 8 am. clubhouse

ME: copy

“Ammo? Did you hear me?” Rafe’s voice makes me pocket the burner phone and look over at him. He’s frowning, but what’s new, he’s been a miserable prick lately, I haven’t asked why, but I’m assuming Pam’s gone.

“What?”

“TMZ is outside and Rolling Stone wants an exclusive,” Rafe snaps.

“Okay?” Reaching for the cigarette pack on the desk, I tell him, “Ask Courtney about Rolling Stone, or Malcolm.” I light up, my eyes narrowing on his…yeah, he’s got shit going on, and he’s barely holding his impatience in check.
