“You going to tell Tom how much you hate him while you screw his brains out?” Gigi asks as I move out of Mel’s way, hoping like fuck I can keep on my feet.

Mel can’t help but grin at Gigi before she silently slips out the door, leaving us alone.

“Come on,” Gigi says, taking my hand and leading me down the hallway. She pulls me into the bathroom and immediately grabs the hem of my shirt before pulling it up over my head. I help her to fully remove it, which is when her hands come down on my chest and the electricity instantly pulses between us.

My skin burns from her touch, and I absolutely love it, I fucking crave it. Her eyes fill with desire, and I slide my arms around her waist, pulling her in before dropping my lips to hers, and fuck, the sound of her soft moan breathes life into me.

Fuck, she’s everything.

My hands travel down to her perfect ass, giving it a firm squeeze before taking hold and lifting her onto the vanity. Her legs wrap around my waist, and for a moment, I wonder if she’s changed her mind before she gently pushes me back.

My brows furrow, and I look down at her with confusion. “We’re not doing this,” she says.

I lean in, pressing my lips to the base of her neck, unable to get enough. “Why the hell not?” I ask, my lips moving over her skin as she tilts her head, opening up for more.

Gigi’s fingers trail up to the back of my head, holding me to her. “Because you’re drunk, Sean. And not the good kind of drunk. Something’s going on with you right now, and I have absolutely no idea what it is, but I don’t like it. So, you need to shower and preferably brush your teeth, then I’ll put you to bed.”

With a sigh, I lift my gaze back to hers. “That’s not how I was hoping tonight was going to go.”

“You’ve made that perfectly clear, but unfortunately for you, I’m not some whorebag who you get to take advantage of to dull the ache,” she says, clearly realizing that whatever this is about has something to do with Sara. “Now hurry up and get your ass in the shower.”

I step back from her and reach for the button of my jeans, watching as her gaze follows the movement, and I take my sweet time, popping the button, loving the way desire flashes in her eyes. “You staying or leaving?” I ask, making it perfectly clear that the invitation is still there.

“Leaving,” she finally says, her chest rising and falling with rapid pants as her gaze lifts back to mine. “Definitely leaving. Our first time is not going to be while you’re drunk and dangerously close to hurling all through my bathroom.”

Okay. She has a good fucking point.

With that, she jumps down from the vanity and all but runs out of the bathroom, leaving me to get cleaned up in her tiny shower. I take my time, stealing someone’s toothbrush, and after the hot water assaults my skin, I somehow start to sober up despite the disgusting amount of alcohol working its way through my body.

Striding out of her bathroom ten minutes later in nothing but a pair of jeans, I find Gigi curled up on her couch with a cushion squished under her face. She looks up at my movement and climbs off the couch, silently taking my hand and leading me into the kitchen. She hands me a glass of water before dragging me down the hallway into her room. “Get in,” she says, grabbing the blankets on her bed and pulling them back.

I raise a brow at her. “Are you seriously putting me to bed?”

“Yep,” she says. “Now, get in.”

I do as she says before patting the space beside me. “You getting in, too?”

She bites her bottom lip and is silently thinking about it. “Are you going to maul me?” she questions.

“Depends,” I grin.

“On?”

“If you want me to.”

“You know, I do,” she tells me before kneeling on the edge of the bed and slowly creeping toward me with both desire and reluctance in her blazing eyes. She drops down into my arms, curling her body beside me. She goes quiet for a moment, deep in thought before finally glancing up and meeting my eyes. “We will,” she murmurs. “But only when it’s me you’re thinking about.”

Her comment hits me like a freight train. She’s right. I’m not being fair to her right now. “I’m sorry,” I whisper into her hair.

“It’s okay,” she whispers, a sadness filling her tone. “Do you want to talk about it? I mean, you don’t have to, but I just thought it might help.”

I let out a sigh as I realize that she deserves to know. I fully intend for this woman to be part of my life, which means I need to open up and completely let her into my life.
